Bolt Electric Terms & Conditions
Scheduling. We can only guarantee the first appointment of the day; techs leave our office by 8:30am and should arrive at your building within 30-60 minutes, based on traffic and your location. We try to schedule in two hour increments throughout the day (after our first/8.30 am appts). We can usually predict our arrival time accurately, but there are occasions where we might run late/early and will try to communicate this with you.
What you can do to prepare (and save you time & money). Clean out any area in which we might be working (i.e., under your kitchen sink). Notify the building authority (e.g. “Super”) of our arrival, especially if we need special access. Ensure we’ve access to the apartment(s) above yours (if you have any ceiling leaks). Have information on-hand (e.g. model number) at our arrival for any plumbing fixture leaks.
Insurance/License. We are a fully insured and New York City licensed plumbing and fire Suppression Company. Please notify us prior to dispatching a technician should your building require an insurance certificate.
Billing policy: Our services for repairs are charged on a time and material basis. Our hourly rate is $180.00 per hour + applicable tax. This rate includes travel to your home (capped at one hour), parking, all labor required to complete the work and any necessary trips to a plumbing specialty shop to pick up non-stocked items. There is a one (1) hour minimum for all service calls even if no work is completed. Nights (i.e., after 4:00pm) and weekend service calls are billed at $270.00 per hour, including travel time.
Warranty. We maintain a warrantee period of thirty (30) days for all labor related to the work we completed. All parts installed are warranted by manufacturer. We reserve the right to charge for the labor to replace any part or fixture that must be replaced in the manufacturer’s warrantee period.
Payments. At the completion of the service call we require payment in full, including applicable taxes. Payments can be made by cash, check or credit card. You will receive a sales receipt at the end of the service call indicating all applicable charges. A formal invoice will follow in the mail indicating any additional material costs along with a copy of the credit card receipt, should you prefer payment by credit card.
